About

Alisa with one of her doggy friends

Alisa Sannikova is a trained animal behaviour scientist with the skills and experience to help your pet today.

I have over a decade of experience working with a diverse range of animal species, combined with a degree in zoology from the University of Sydney (B. Sc. Adv, Hons) and LLA Professional. My passion is in helping pets to live in harmony with their guardians and achieving effective and efficient behavioural change in a humane, enjoyable way. I use the latest scientific training methods to change animal behaviour for good – together, we can build strong habits for life, not mere ‘quick fixes’.

I currently provide my services for free to Sydney Dogs and Cats Home, and Eastern Suburbs Dog Training Club. I’m a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers Australia, and I love expanding my understanding of behaviour and training for the benefit of my clients. Here is a selection of seminars and workshops recently undertaken:

  • Horse training and physiology 2-day clinic (Dr Deb Bennett, 2012)
  • Horse training and conformation 3-day clinic (Dr Deb Bennett, 2013)
  • Dangerous Dogs seminar (APDT 2013)
  • Puppy Class auditing (Dogology, 2013)
  • Parrot and Working Dog training seminar (Feathered Friends 2013)
  • Multidog Households webinar (ASPCA 2014)
  • Anxiety in Dogs seminar (APDT 2014)
  • LLA Professional course in Applied Behaviour Analysis (2014)
  • APDT conference (2014)
  • Horse anatomy 5-day workshop (Dr Deb Bennett, 2015)

  • Demystify the science of animal behaviour
  • Ensure that training is an enjoyable experience for all parties
  • Improve the communication between you and your pet
